For the last two weeks, we’ve been listening to KJR-FM as heard in October 2002. That was supposed to be one aircheck, but when I received it, I found that it was actually two airchecks that had been combined into one file. So, I asked for this one in a subsequent trade in hopes of getting one continuous aircheck, and this is what I got. The jingles are already a bit different in this clip, and as you may note, the station started mixing in a handful of 80s cuts, which they took some heat for. If I can find it, I may even post some audio of that particular criticism from around 2005.
The 95.7 frequency in Seattle has been Classic Hits since May 2002, but has rebranded a few times over the years. Next week, we’ll jump ahead 11 years to the station’s current branding.
