Why do I title my post this? Because it refers to Jacksonville, Florida, where the national convention of the American Council of the Blind was held this summer. It’s also a new market to the site, the second one in as many weeks. This clip was recorded about two and a half years before I even thought about joining ACB, as it is from April 8, 2016. I think I wanted more WAPE because, like a lot of my recordings from that era, I was trying to get more tape on heritage stations. Unlike the first aircheck of WAPE that I heard from 2010, I am profoundly bored by this aircheck. I am far less concerned these days with getting as much of every station as I can, but I still think it would be cool to obtain as much tape as I can to get a more complete picture of what was and wasn’t ever recorded.
