By the time I recorded this aircheck, I had been using my Olympus recorder for some time, plugging one end of a chord into the headphone jack of whatever I was using and the other end into the mic jack of my recorder. I figured that doing the same thing with my computer would work, this was before I switched to using the line in port. At the time, I had an HD radio tuner that plugged into my phone, so that’s what I used for this recording. I specifically chose 92.5 because when monitoring, I heard what sounded like low-end distortion, and that station had that problem anyway, so I figured I’d see how bad it sounded with this setup. Fortunately, that distortion isn’t audible in the HD signal, so it doesn’t appear here. Next week it’s a different radio using the line in port on my computer recording the same station.
