Throughout most of my early remembered life, I always thought KLSY was the better of the two Adult Contemporary stations in Seattle, though I wouldn’t learn that term until I started following the radio industry in 2008. By that time, 92.5 had been Rhythmic AC for over two years. Today, I can’t find a station that sounds like KLSY did, or what it might sound like if it were pushed forward from just before it went Adult Top 40 Mix 92.5 in February 2002. Then again, when it went Mix, I would have been eight, so I’m curious how I’d react to hearing the station today. It is that desire to hear the station I remember that caused me to trade for this aircheck just last week. This is not the station I remember, though I can see a throughline between this station from August 1996 and what I remember from a few years later.
