Not that Z100

When you hear Z100, unless you’re in a market that has one of its own, you’re probably thinking New York. I don’t have any of that station, and really have no desire to obtain any at this time because recordings of it are so widely available. Portland’s KKRZ, also using the Z100 name, is far less widely available. That’s why over the next six weeks or so, that’s what you’re going to hear on this site. Portland’s Z100 launched on March 16, 1984. It appears that the two stations wouldn’t become co-owned until about 1999. This is a very brief clip, but there’s a lot more where that came from, and I’ll have more next week.
